On February 19, 2024, a project was launched to achieve another milestone in our commitment to living sustainability as a matter of course. This involved the construction of a photovoltaic system. By the end of March, the project was completed. Now, 100% green electricity is available at the Melle site.
- The PV system has a total size of 190.24 kWp. We cover around 40% of our total electricity demand with PV power. Surplus energy is fed back into the grid.
- In addition, there are now 10 charging points available for electric cars. Not only can the electric company cars be refueled, but we have also created the opportunity for our employees to charge their private cars with electricity.
- For employees who come to us on two wheels, there are also free power outlets in the bike racks for charging e-bikes.
